1. Who is responsible for this website
VR4Adults (“we”, “us”, “the site”) is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy.
The controller is the operator of vr4adults.com, reachable at contact@vr4adults.com. We answer data protection enquiries at that address and aim to reply within five business days.
The site is operated from the United States. The GDPR still applies to visitors located in the European Union, because Article 3(2) covers organisations outside the EU that offer services to people inside it. This policy is written on that basis.
No Data Protection Officer has been appointed.
2. Data collected just by visiting the site
Every time you load a page on VR4Adults, our hosting provider automatically records a small set of technical data in server logs. This happens regardless of whether you interact with the page further:
- IP address
- Browser type and version (user agent)
- The page you came from (referrer URL)
- The page you requested
- Date and time of the request
- Volume of data transferred
We do not combine this data with any other information to identify you personally. It is used to keep the site running securely and reliably — to detect and prevent abuse, diagnose technical faults, and understand basic traffic load.
Retention: Server logs are stored by our hosting provider, Hostinger, and kept for the periods set out in Hostinger’s privacy policy. We do not keep a separate copy of them.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating a stable, secure website. This processing happens automatically and cannot be switched off with a cookie banner, because it occurs at the server level before any content is delivered to your browser.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., based in Cyprus. The server that runs this site is located in the United States.
Our host processes the server log data described in Section 2 on our behalf, and the site’s files reside on its infrastructure. How Hostinger handles that data, and for how long it keeps it, is described in Hostinger’s privacy policy.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. VR4Adults uses three categories, and they are treated differently under GDPR.
Strictly necessary cookies. These make the site function and are set without asking, because the site cannot work properly without them. They are never used to profile you and are not shared with anyone. They are:
- The cookies of our consent tool, Complianz (see Section 7), which remember the choice you made in the cookie banner so it does not reappear on every page. Their names begin with
cmplz_— for examplecmplz_banner-status,cmplz_statisticsandcmplz_consented_services. They expire after 365 days. - Session cookies that WordPress may set to serve the page correctly. These are deleted when you close your browser.
Analytics cookies. These are set only after you consent to statistics cookies in the cookie banner — never before. They are set by Google Analytics (see Section 6):
_ga— distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years._ga_<container-id>— keeps track of your current session. Expires after 2 years.
Affiliate-tracking cookies. When you click a link to one of our affiliate partners, that partner sets a tracking cookie in your browser. This is covered in detail in Section 5, because it works differently from the categories above: it is set by the partner on its own website, not by us, and only after you have clicked through.
The complete, current list of cookies used on this site, with each cookie’s name, purpose and lifetime, is available at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.
5. Affiliate links — what happens when you click
VR4Adults earns commissions by linking to third-party adult entertainment platforms. Some of these links are “cloaked” — they route through a /go/… redirect on our own domain (for example /go/vrbangers) before sending you on to the partner’s actual website. Here is exactly what that redirect does and does not do:
- It logs the click. Our redirect plugin records that a
/go/…link was clicked, so we know which pages and links are driving traffic to partners. This is the same category of technical data described in Section 2. - It does not itself set a tracking cookie on our domain. The redirect is a pass-through — you land on it for a fraction of a second before being forwarded.
- The partner sets a cookie once you land on their site. Every affiliate partner we link to sets its own tracking cookie when you arrive, so that if you sign up or make a purchase, they can attribute it back to VR4Adults and pay us a commission. We do not control what that cookie contains, how long it lasts, or what else the partner does with your data once you’re on their domain.
- You are now on the partner’s website, governed by the partner’s own privacy policy — not ours. We recommend reading it before providing any personal information or payment details there.
- We may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of these links, at no additional cost to you. This does not affect the price you pay.
The affiliate partners whose programs we are currently part of are: POVR, DarkRoomVR, VRConk, VirtualTaboo, WankzVR, VR Bangers, VRPorn.com and Dezyred. Each of these sets its own tracking cookie on its own domain once you arrive there. We add partners to this list as programs are accepted, and we update this section when we do — a platform being reviewed on this site does not mean a commercial relationship exists with it.
We do not pass your personal data to these partners. The only thing that reaches them is the fact that a visit originated from our site, carried in the referral parameter of the link you clicked.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for our own click-logging (legitimate interest in measuring which content drives referrals). We do not control the legal basis the partner relies on for their own cookie — that is disclosed in their privacy policy, not ours.
6. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how long visits last, and which articles are useful — so that we can improve it. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, with data also processed by Google LLC in the United States.
Google Analytics collects information about your visit: the pages you view, the time you spend on them, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Your IP address is not stored by Google Analytics. The cookies it uses are listed in Section 4.
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics on the site. Tag Manager is a tool that places other scripts on the page; it sets no cookies of its own. When it loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which technically transmits your IP address to Google.
These tools only run after you consent to statistics cookies in the cookie banner described in Section 7. Until you do, neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics loads, and no Analytics cookie is set. If you decline or ignore the banner, your visit is not tracked by these tools.
Google processes this data on our behalf under Google’s Data Processing Terms. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 7).
7. Consent management
On your first visit, a cookie banner asks you which non-essential cookies you consent to. Strictly necessary cookies are not part of this choice, as explained in Section 4.
The banner is provided by Complianz, a WordPress plugin developed by Complianz B.V., Groningen, the Netherlands. The plugin runs on our own website and stores your choice in the cmplz_ cookies listed in Section 4, on your own device.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which reopens the banner with your current choices. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that happened before the withdrawal.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR — we are legally required to be able to demonstrate your consent.
8. Contact
There is no contact form on this site. If you write to us at contact@vr4adults.com, we process your email address, your name if you give one, and the content of your message for the sole purpose of answering you. We keep that correspondence for as long as the matter is open and for up to twelve months afterwards, then delete it, unless a longer period is legally required.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or a pre-contractual request, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
9. International data transfers
Some of the parties described in this policy process data outside the European Economic Area, principally in the United States:
- Our host. The server that runs this site is located in the United States (Section 3). Hostinger relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for data processed outside the EEA, as described in its privacy policy.
- Google (Section 6). Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
- Our affiliate partners (Section 5). When you click through to one of them, you are sharing your data with that partner directly, under its own privacy policy.
10. Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including profiling
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for any processing based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@vr4adults.com, or through our Contact page. Our Terms of Use govern the rest of your use of this site, including how to report a copyright complaint.
Supervisory authority: The operator of this site has no establishment in the European Union. There is therefore no single lead supervisory authority for this site. You can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the EU member state where you live, where you work, or where you believe the infringement took place.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as the site, its tools, or the law change — for example, when a new affiliate partner or a contact form is added. The date below reflects the last revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
